What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM onwards, while check-out is required by 11:00 AM. For early arrivals before 3:00 PM, we offer complimentary luggage storage. Late check-out is subject to availability and must be arranged in advance with Reception.
What are the reception hours and what languages are spoken?
Reception is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our staff speaks fluent Italian and English, as well as French, Spanish, and German.
Where is the property located and how can I reach it?
Nuvole Garden Hotel Lake Como is located at Piazza Bonacossa 12 in Brunate.
How to reach us:
By Funicular (Recommended): From Como Lago station, take the historic Como-Brunate Funicular (a 7-minute ride). The arrival station in Brunate is just 90 meters from the hotel entrance.
By Car: From Como, follow the signs to Brunate along the SP71 panoramic road.
By Train / Plane: Private Transfer & Chauffeur service is available upon request (with 24/48 hours' notice) from Como train stations and from Milan Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN), or Lugano (LUG) airports.
Is there parking, an elevator, and Wi-Fi on-site?
Yes, the hotel offers free private parking on-site with luggage assistance upon arrival, an elevator connecting all levels, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout all rooms and common areas.
Is the property accessible for guests with reduced mobility?
Yes, Nuvole Garden Hotel is completely step-free and barrier-free. It features accessible routes to reception, restaurants, lounge, fitness room, and SPA, an elevator with a 100 cm wide door, dedicated accessible rooms and bathrooms, and equipped transfer vehicles.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are currently not allowed.
What room amenities are provided?
Our 80 rooms and suites feature smart climate control, soundproofing, 50"+ Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, memory foam mattresses, marble bathrooms with rain shower or bathtub, bathrobes, luxury toiletries, mini-bar, electric kettle with tea/coffee selection, digital safe, and evening turndown service. Many room types offer views of Lake Como and private terraces with outdoor jacuzzis.
Is there a city tax?
Yes, the tourist tax for the Municipality of Brunate is €3.00 per person per day (not included in the room rate, to be settled on-site).
DINING & BARS
Are the restaurants and SPA open to non-hotel guests?
Yes, all our Restaurants, Bars, Bruschetteria, Wine Cellar(Bottiglieria), and THE SPA are open to everyone and can be booked by non-resident guests as well.
What dining options are available and what are their opening hours?
Sole Gourmet Restaurant (Chef Gennaro Balice): Fine dining on the 5th floor. Open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM) and aperitifs (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM). Closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Ristorante Blu & Bistrot: Refined panoramic bistrot with an outdoor terrace. Open daily for lunch (12:00 PM – 3:00 PM) and dinner (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM).
La Bruschetteria: Open daily (9:00 AM – 10:00 PM) for light lunches, snacks, and gourmet zero-km aperitifs.
Dietary Options: All dining venues offer dedicated gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
Is there a bar or other food & wine experiences on-site?
Yes, the property features the ground-floor Negroni Bar, the panoramic Terrazza Nuvole for sunset drinks, and La Bottiglieria & Cantina Vini for curated wine tastings.
SPA, POOL & WELLNESS
What facilities are available at the SPA, pool, and fitness center?
THE SPA: Features a Finnish sauna, steam bath, emotional showers with chromotherapy, heated whirlpool, and a panoramic relaxation area with herbal teas. Available as a Private SPA upon reservation.
Pool: Indoor heated pool inside the SPA and an outdoor panoramic pool in the gardens (open May to October). Free pool towels provided.
Fitness Room: A modern gym free for hotel guests, open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
SERVICES, ACTIVITIES & PAYMENTS
What activities and events can be arranged through the hotel?
Our Concierge service organizes private boat tours on the lake, guided visits to historic villas (Villa del Balbianello, Carlotta, Melzi), scenic hiking tours, and E-Bike rentals. The venue also hosts boutique weddings, private celebrations, and corporate events in fully equipped meeting rooms.
What payment methods are accepted and what is the cancellation policy?
We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Maestro, UnionPay, JCB, Diners), Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash (within legal limits), and advance bank transfers. Checks are not accepted. Cancellation policies vary according to the booked rate.
